This 5-day course is designed for persons seeking training in the assessment and management of patients in the pre-hospital environment.
Anyone who already has Certification in CFR (CFR Advanced or CFR Community) and completed the First Aid Responder course and wishes to build on their First Aid skills.
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Learners are assessed on an ongoing basis throughout the course. These include both Formative Assessment & Summative Assessment.
Participants must complete the following:
Participants must achieve a pass mark of 60%, or greater, in each aspect of the assessment in order to qualify successfully.
Successful completion of the Emergency First Responder course leads to certification.
This certificate is awarded by a Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council Authorised Training Organisation who oversee and audit the course.
Recertification in Emergency First Response is required every 3 years.
It is also necessary to retain CFR Advanced or CFR Community certification every 2 years.
Any special needs/requirements should be identified at the time of booking. Participants should be dress in comfortable clothing that allows them to engage comfortably in the skills sections of the course such as CPR and the Recovery Position.
