Who is this course for?
Our Family First Aid course is perfect for parents or family members wishing to develop a knowledge of what to do in emergency situations. It covers common injuries and how to assist a child who is choking or needs CPR
Training Objectives:
Giving each participant an introduction to first aid using both theory and practical learning.
Course Syllabus:
- Action in an Emergency – Incident Management and calling for help
- Infant and Child CPR
- Infant and Child Choking
- Principles of using a defibrillator
- Common Injuries – Bleeding including nosebleeds, Falls / Bumps and Bangs, burns
- Common Medical Emergencies – Febrile Seizures, Meningitis, Poisoning
Course Assessment:
Assessed by practical skills alone.

Any special needs / requirements should be identified at the time of booking. Participants should be advised to dress appropriately, due to the nature of the course, there will be manual skills, including CPR.
