Cardiac First Response – Advanced

Who is this course for?

The Cardiac First Response (CFR) Advanced Course is targeted at those working or volunteering in the Emergency Services, GPs and other Medical Practioners, Nurses or allied Healthcare Providers who need up-to-date CPR/AED certification.
 
It is the course required for CPC by Emergency Medical Technicans every two years.

Training Objectives:

Giving each participant more advanced course in CPR, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator and relief of choking. 

Course Syllabus:

  •         CPR for Adults and Infants
  •         First Aid for Choking
  •         Use of an AED
  •         Heart Attack
  •         Stroke
  •         Oxygen Administration
  •         Suctioning
  •         Use of an Oropharyngeal Airway
  •         Use of a Supraglottic Airway
  •         Team Resusciation

Course Assessment:

Assessed by practical skills

Course Certification:

On successful completion of this course the participant will be awarded a joint recognised institution and PHECC award. This course should be renewed every two years.

Additional Information:

Any special needs / requirements should be identified at the time of booking. Participants should be advised to dress appropriately, due to the nature of the course, there will be manual skills, including CPR. 

 

Course Length: 6 hours. This course is available both publicly or we can run private courses at your venue or ours, throughout the country.

 
The CFR-Advanced course should only be undertaken by those who will have appropriate exposure to opportunities to retain competency in the skills demonstrated. Allied Healthcare Providers
